Ravenshall School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic ETA who is committed and hard working. Applications from male are particularly welcomed due to the specific and individual needs of some of our male students who require a higher level of intimate care.

Ravenshall School is an all-age special school for children, young people and P16 learners with complex learning difficulties. Well developed skills in behaviour and communication strategies would be an advantage as most of our pupils have additional speech, language and communication difficulties. All of our pupils have an EHCP, many have additional needs such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Visual & Hearing impairments, SEMH needs, physical disabilities and/or medical conditions.

 

It is essential that the successful applicants should have experience of dealing with children and young people, preferably within a School environment.  Applications are invited from individuals who are able to work as part of a team to support the learning, behaviour and welfare of pupils in school as we take this “Exceptional Special School” (Ofsted 2019) into its next phase of excellence.

The successful candidate will enjoy being part of a professional and energetic team, be keen to provide varied social learning experiences forming strong relationships with children and young people.

The hours of work will be 8.30am – 3.15pm
