This post is to commence as soon as possible on a fixed term basis for one year.

 

The Mast Academy Trust is seeking three experienced SEN Teaching Assistants who will also support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will be required to work both on a 1:1 and group basis supporting the pupils in all aspects of school life. You will also provide short term cover for classroom/subject teachers. The roles will be based across Kirkburton/Scissett Middle Schools.

We are looking for creative, flexible and solution-focused Teaching Assistants to be a part of our team in The Mast Academy Trust. Within your role you will assist teaching and support staff in improving the success of our pupils, promoting achievement and raising the standards across the curriculum.

 

The Role Will Include:

  • Leading 1:1 sessions under direction of the teacher.
  • Following strategies laid out in EHC plans to ensure the best learning experience for each pupil.
  • Working in partnership with teachers and other ETA's to provide a stable, positive environment for learning.
  • Providing feedback to all involved parties.
  • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Short term lesson cover.

 

Who can apply?

  • Qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistants.
  • Qualified Learning Support Assistants.
  • Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants.
  • Individuals who have experience with SEMH difficulties.
  • Individuals who have worked with young people with SEN in a care environment.
  • Other education professionals with these skills and experience.
