We are always looking for better and smarter ways to work and are seeking to recruit practice supervisors to support and direct social work practice in our assessment and intervention teams. The role of practice supervisor is integral to the delivery of high quality practice to achieve the best outcomes for our children and families.

Do you:

  • Have a commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare?
  • Have a strong track record of supporting the development of others through supporting students and newly qualified social workers?
  • Have a desire to improve the standards of social work as we strive towards outstanding practice?
  • Have a clear understanding of what high quality social work assessment and planning looks like?
  • Have experience of chairing multi-agency meetings?
  • Evidence the skill of offering high challenge and high support to those you are working with?

We are looking for experienced social workers who are ready to take the next step in their professional career. Within this role you will be responsible for the supervision and day to day support of a small team of social workers and family support worker who are working with children  under a child in need or child protection plan and also those children who are subject to care proceedings. We recognise the need to support our practitioners in order to develop and enhance their skills and experience, you will be expected to share your expertise, provide leadership and direction to your staff which in turn will enable them to provide exceptional services to our children, young people and their families.

You must hold a Social Work England (SWE) recognised Social Work Qualification and be registered with SWE.
