Catch Up Teacher - Birkenshaw Primary School
The children, staff and Governors wish to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated and capable teacher to play a key role in the development of our school.
We are looking to appoint a Catch Up teacher to work with small groups of children in Reception and Key Stage One, delivering catch up programmes targeted to support children’s gaps in knowledge and skills.
Birkenshaw CE (C) Primary School is a thriving, happy and popular school with an excellent reputation in the local community. We are a good school and our ‘pupils behave well, care for one another and show responsible attitudes. They enjoy school life to the full.’ (OFSTED December 2016).
We are a large and friendly staff team, who support each other’s professional development and we work closely with other schools in the area. We have spacious grounds with playgrounds, a ball court, adventure equipment, a woodland area, kitchen garden and a pond. We offer a wide range of curriculum enrichment opportunities as well as a variety of extra-curricular after school clubs.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff are subject to an enhanced DBS check. A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
Applications are welcomed from both newly qualified and experienced teachers. Applicants are asked to outline their curriculum strengths.
