KIRKLEES COUNCIL ARE ADVERTISING THIS ROLE ON BEHALF OF BBG ACADEMY

BBG Academy seeks to appoint an inspiring and effective Pastoral Support Assistant to join our skilled and dedicated team. The successful candidate will assist the Heads of Year and other key members of staff with their day-to-day responsibilities and be a key communication link between all stakeholders. We are looking for applications from candidates who will apply our Positive Discipline Policy to promote excellent student conduct and resilience. We seek someone who can promote a “Growth Mindset” in all, nurturing students to see challenges as opportunities to flourish. You will have excellent organisational and administrative skills and be able to
communicate with clarity and accuracy.

If you are considering a route into teaching, this is a perfect way to gain experience. With the appropriate qualifications, you could then go on to apply to train to teach with us on our exciting 1-year programme through the School Direct initiative in partnership with Leeds Trinity University and Leeds Beckett University.

BBG Academy is part of The Rodillian Multi Academy Trust, which also includes The Featherstone Academy, Brayton Academy, Southway and the founding school, Rodillian Academy. BBG Academy is oversubscribed, has achieved significantly above average Progress 8 scores over the past three years and holds an Ofsted rating of good.

The Rodillian Multi Academy Trust has a reputation for high expectations for all, a pioneering curriculum and excellent staff/student relationships. In return, the successful candidate will enjoy access to high quality CPD at all levels and the chance to work in an organisation that does things differently. Our academies are a place where staff can develop their skills, learn and grow alongside our students, and feel that they are making a real difference to the lives of those they teach. The Trust is committed to providing private school opportunities in a modern comprehensive environment. We believe that traditional values of discipline and respect are sacrosanct. We do not tolerate bullying, defiance or rudeness and this has made for harmonious and safe learning environments for our young people, and a supportive environment for staff.

Prospective candidates are welcome to visit the Academy. Please contact Karen Marshall, PA to the Principal at:
kmarshall@bbgacademy.com to arrange.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers, contractors and visitors to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure check by the Disclosure and Barring Service and other statutory checks.
