We’re Kirklees… are you?

In Kirklees we are focused on outcomes more than processes and believe that to achieve the best outcomes for local citizens we need to be thinking “People, Place, Partners” and “working with rather than doing to.”  We have a significant programme of investment in the physical infrastructure of our towns and villages that builds on our rich history.  We are committed to an inclusive Kirklees and to ensuring that everyone benefits from improved outcomes.  We recognise that this means we need to pay particular attention to how we work with some of our more vulnerable citizens and how we create the conditions for people to be more active citizens. We have invested in our leadership team and as a result of promotions have Head of Service opportunities available.

We are looking for an innovative and knowledgeable senior professional with significant experience of working in a safeguarding environment to join our leadership team. Through the direct line management of the Principal Social worker and matrix arrangements with other key posts including the Principal Occupational Therapist, this role will ensure a system wide focus on robust social care practice. With operational responsibility for the Safeguarding Adults Board and enhancing safeguarding partnerships you will provide direction and leadership to your teams, developing services to meet future needs.

This is an exciting time to join us, with the opportunity to work within a strong, experienced team enthusiastic to reshape pathways and practice to ensure a strengths based approach.
