An exciting opportunity to be a key player in the growth of trade and investment in Leeds City Region. We are seeking to recruit a commercially aware individual who can help us grow the region’s economy by attracting inward investments across a broad range of industrial sectors.

The role will require a strong focus on managing a healthy pipeline of inward investment projects and acting as an ambassador for the Leeds City Region. 

Working in partnership with key stakeholders and with support from colleagues in the Trade and Investment team the Business Development Executive will articulate the regions sector strengths and work with businesses to showcase why Leeds City Region is an ideal place to invest, grow and export.

The role

The successful applicant will:

Support a programme of activity for attracting and retaining inward investment in the Leeds City Region and driving future export growth.

Manage a range of investment projects that support a client to make a positive decision including research, inward visits, bespoke proposals and stakeholder engagements.

Identify a targeted approach to generating new investment leads, promoting the region to potential investors with a geographic and sub-sector focus

 

The person

We are looking for:

A team player, who has a cooperative and proactive style in order to achieve success.

Experience of managing multiple projects and deadlines whilst developing strong relationships with businesses and stakeholders

Solutions focussed with a strong eye for detail and an ability to write compelling documents/content.

Experience of economic development and the key drivers in investment decision making and economic growth
