KIRKLEES COUNCIL ARE ADVERTISING THIS ROLE ON BEHALF OF BATLEY MULTI ACADEMY TRUST

Batley Multi Academy Trust’s sole purpose is to provide a great education for Primary and Secondary learners throughout a local family of schools. The Trust is passionately committed to the communities of Batley, Birstall, Dewsbury and our surrounding areas, serving our local learners and their families in order to secure excellent educational outcomes, partnered with high aspirations. Batley Multi Academy Trust currently comprises Batley Girls’ High School, Upper Batley High School, Batley Grammar School, Healey Junior, Infant and Nursery School, Field Lane Junior, Infant and Nursery School and Manorfield Infant and Nursery School. We provide high quality education for all young people. This collaboration enables us to share expertise, knowledge and best practice to ensure academic and pastoral excellence throughout all of our schools, with all schools embracing the same overall ethos and values, whilst maintaining their own unique characters.

Field Lane Junior, Infant and Nursery School is at the heart of the community in every way. We encourage freedom of expression through both learning and play, and offer an outside space that helps to enrich our students’ time away from the classroom. Inside the school we have a bespoke library space which enables the children to interact with books in a comfortable and interesting setting. Our curriculum is engaging and aspirational and ensures our young people see the role they play in their local, national and even international community. We are a small school, with a very big heart.

We are seeking to recruit a talented individual to join our team of staff to work with children with special educational needs (SEN) in EYFS. Experience of working with children with autism, mobility needs and pre verbal communication skills would be an advantage. The successful applicant must be hard working, organised, have good numeracy and literacy skills and, above all, have experience of working with children with SEN. The successful candidate will work on a one to one basis with a child who has intimate care needs. A knowledge of the Early Years curriculum and phonics is preferable.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive forward thinking Trust, who in return for your commitment and hard work, will support you to achieve your own career goals and aspirations.
