About the role

Are you an experienced Technical Business Analyst ready to take on a new challenge? Do you want to work for a fast paced, creative and innovative data and insight service that is committed to delivering excellence?

The Technical Business Analyst will be part of the data management team and will play an integral role in our ambitious programme of process redesign, contributing to efficient and effective data use across the Council.

The role will play a lead in analysing our current processes and support the Council in reshaping the technical change delivery process – considering problems and solutions, user requirements and finding efficiencies whilst always considering the stakeholders voice and experience in line with the council’s goals. The work you do will be critical in realising our ambitious data and insight technology roadmap, working in partnership with the data management and engineering teams.

The service, along with the wider Council, is facing significant financial pressures. It is critical that we continue to explore new, efficient ways of working to ensure value for money across all of our activities - whilst delivering quality and compliance. The Technical Business Analyst will be supported by the Data Management and Engineering Strategic Lead and wider Data and Insight service.

About you

We are looking for someone who shares our ambition for how effective data practice can be used to make a tangible difference to outcomes for people and places.

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated individual with strong independent working and documentation skills. These skills will provide the foundation to establish relationships with a range of stakeholders, identify business needs, shape technical requirements, and influence the delivery of high impact solutions. The work you do will be critical in reshaping the technical changes required within the service and shaping strategy surrounding business processes.

You will have proven experience in delivering change and be confident in approaching diverse technical landscapes. You will have a strong awareness of how stakeholder engagement can influence and impact change delivery, providing the right information upon which to make informed decisions, and the need to communicate and professionally manage these relationships throughout delivery.

If you are looking for a role that is challenging and hugely rewarding, and you have the skills and ambition we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.
