You will work within the Venue Service and will manage a busy team of Business Support Officers based at Flint Street, Fartown, Huddersfield. You will be responsible for managing schools meals and milk processes, including grant claims, reconciliation of income, and dealing with complex queries.

Previous experience of setting up and managing financial and administrative processes and systems, as well as excellent organisational skills are required. Due to the nature of the work in the team a strong working knowledge of financial systems, reconciliation and analysing financial information is required.

You will lead a team, identifying and implementing service delivery improvements. Strong leadership skills, ability to communicate both verbally and in writing and experience of balancing and working to deadlines and priorities are essential.

You will need to be able to manage and lead the team through constant change processes and changing priorities.

The main duties for this role will be:

  • Management of a team
  • Produce complex statistical and management information
  • Data processing (adaptations, development, input and retrieval)
  • Provide project support including research, interpretation and collation of data
  • Respond to complex enquiries and complaints
  • Information and records management
  • Provide specialist IT support and advice
  • Process and account for cash and other forms of payment

It is essential that you have a flexible and ‘can do’ attitude, possess excellent customer care skills and IT skills, and that you are familiar with a variety of computer packages in particular Microsoft Office and that you are able to demonstrate business and administrative skills to NVQ level3.
