Working as an Asset Data Officer, striving to achieve a key part of the Council’s vision – “people enjoy better health throughout their lives” you will be responsible for the delivery of the asset data & FM database functions.

Working with colleagues, partners, and the community you will ensure that a high quality, customer focused, and efficient asset data & condition information function is delivered. You will take responsibility for both strategic and operational matters relating to asset data within our FM database and delivery/interpretation of building condition information.

Supporting the Strategic Manager – Asset Data & Compliance and the Compliance Manager, you will deliver the asset data and condition information function across all the Councils’ land and property assets.

Responsibilities will extend within a matrix arrangement and the post holder will ensure a joined-up response to complex problems that may cut across the Corporate Landlord & Capital service, as well as other services/directorates.

The core responsibilities of the post include:

  • Delivery of the new Kirklees FM database, including liaison with teams to gather specification, preparation of key documents, attending procurement exercises and assessing tenders,
  • Attend meetings with internal & external stakeholders to ensure delivery and maintenance of the database,
  • Provide internal training to services as required on database operation,
  • Responsibility for maintaining PPM schedules, KPI reports, risk logs and uploading data to FM databases,
  • Proactive programming of PPM schedules to progress statutory compliance,
  • Working as a member of multi-disciplinary design teams to gather, maintain and disseminate asset & condition data
  • Provision of competent advice and support in relation to asset data & condition to the Corporate Landlord & Capital service and the Council more widely

Extensive experience working with databases and analysis of datasets is essential for this role.
