This job is sited in the Learning and Early Support Service as part of Education Safeguarding and Inclusion.
SEMH specialist outreach forms one of four strands of support within our Kirklees Specialist Outreach Team, which includes Complex Communication and Interaction, Cognition and Learning and Sensory and Physical Impairment. Each strand provides support for children and young people in mainstream schools across Kirklees and their families.
This role will require you to work as part of a team of specialist teachers and support staff to support mainstream schools across Kirklees to meet the needs of children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. As a key specialist professional, you will deliver interventions which will impact upon learning and promote inclusion across schools. You will be working with children and Young People across Key Stage 1-4 with a range of SEMH needs.
You will work closely with specialist support staff within the team to ensure a high-quality targeted outreach offer is available to schools and results in improved outcomes for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.
