Are you an experienced recruiter looking for a new challenge in public sector recruitment or someone with experience of providing support in a large organisation and good working knowledge of end-to-end recruitment?

There aren’t many in-house recruitment teams that deal with the scope and variety of jobs ours do! We’ve recently implemented an industry-leading recruitment system and if you are creative, used to working in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail then we want to hear from you.

At the heart of our work is our team – you need to be flexible and willing to help and support others, whilst taking responsibility for your work and resolving problems creatively. Our HR Support Officers are the first point of contact for customers both internal and external to the Council, supporting a professional HR service and working in a modern, business focused way.

Your work will focus on recruitment activity, including recruitment advertising, new appointments, deployment, vacancy management and advising recruiting managers on their selection processes. You will build positive working relationships with council managers and schools, providing credible advice, guidance and support and striving for a good understanding of their needs.

You will have excellent administrative and IT skills and be flexible and innovative in your approach to work, using your knowledge and expertise to carry out work efficiently whilst delivering an excellent level of service.

We are particularly interested to hear from anyone with a social care background and experience in conducting pre-employment checks in these areas – including checking work history, references, DBS and health screenings.

Our team are currently working from home (you will be provided with all necessary equipment) and we offer a flexible working environment as well as a range of other benefits including generous annual leave entitlement, access to coaching and mentoring, discount schemes, employee networks and a range of services provided by Employee Healthcare to support your wellbeing.
