The Job

In response to the COVID19 pandemic and support required for the Kirklees district we have identified the need for four officers to support our partners who operate foodbanks across the district.

As such, a valid full driving licence is essential for this role and ability to drive a 4 x 4 vehicle when required. When required the role may also support the PPE function for picking, packing and delivering PPE across the district, or delivery of general stores items to building sites across the Kirklees district, collect waste from site and bring back to depots for safe and appropriate disposal.

The job holder will be responsible for ensuring the most efficient route is taken for deliveries and these are undertaken in a timely manner. In addition, there may be a requirement to work throughout weekends on an ad-hoc or rota basis as the business requires.

The post holder will be responsible for providing an efficient, effective, pro-active and customer focused service to colleagues within KNH and Kirklees Council, handling enquiries, giving information and resolving queries as required.
