Responsible to a Senior Finance Officer, you will have a key role in supporting all aspect of the accounts (management and statutory) for the organisation, assisting management throughout the Council to fulfil their responsibilities as a budget manager.

Accountancy

You will contribute to the provision of a comprehensive, professional, financial support service to Budget Holders within the Council.

You will assist in the provision of a range of professional financial support services, focussing either on supporting the preparation of the Statutory Accounts, annual corporate budget processes, treasury management or, provide support to service areas within the Council in terms of monthly management accounting, advice and guidance to budget holders and supporting the development of team in which you will operate.

Currently the role will involve significant amounts of time working from home but with new ways of working, flexible working arrangements and excellent IT facilities at Kirklees Council, your location need not be a barrier!
