Currently we are undergoing an exciting period of Transformation, within Kirklees Adult Services. We are looking at lots of ways of doing things differently to meet customer expectation and growing demand in line with modernising social care.

We are looking to recruit an Information & Access Officer within Gateway to Care that will be instrumental in allowing us to support this piece of work effectively.

The team creates part of our Front Door and Early Intervention & Prevention offer who receive and process adult social care enquiries.  The role will involve working with a wide range of customers and their carers to ensure they receive the right input at the right time and are directed to the right place. You will aim to support customers to maintain their wellbeing and independence utilising strengths based approach, providing advice, information, signposting and sourcing appropriate interventions.

Requirements for this the job:

  • Substantial experience of responding to customer needs, both face to face and over the telephone using the principles of customer care.
  • An awareness of the services provided by the Local Authority, health and voluntary organisations.
  • Ability to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills to complete forms, write reports and correspondence and collate information.
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Able to use a variety of software packages, in particular Microsoft Office.
