We are seeking to appoint a Technology Technician to join our Design & Technology team. This is an exciting and rewarding role supporting the preparation and delivery of engaging, high-quality lessons for students who are enthusiastic, motivated, and keen to achieve. Technology is a highly valued and popular subject within the school community.
We encourage the enjoyment of Technology through the study of a wide range of interesting and challenging projects. The use of key terminology and the application of different technological advances is something we see as key to student academic achievement. As a department, we recognise that applying real world scenarios to design problems is important. Students also enjoy using 2Ddesign and Google Sketchup in our ICT suites. It is important from a cultural capital perspective that we try and bring as much industrial knowledge into the classroom to help inspire students.
The department offers a wide range of enrichment opportunities, including educational visits, alongside extracurricular clubs including CAD/CAM, Textiles, and Food. Students also participate in internal and external competitions, achieving significant success.
