Do you like helping people keep and feel safe on the roads, would you like to keep the roads in Kirklees free flowing and free from obstruction, do have an interest in highway safety?  Would you enjoy a varied role where you would focus on the delivery of community schemes to help disabled people park near their homes and develop and deliver other small traffic schemes? Are you a problem solver and have excellent communication skills and the ability to use a wide range of computerised systems? Then we have the perfect role for you!

The Team

Join our Team in Community Projects and you’ll be working in a team preparing and processing traffic schemes to support the development of safe and effective traffic movements around the district. We work in a busy environment where no day’s the same. We develop, process, and deliver many different schemes throughout Kirklees. We work closely with local councillors and members of the public as well as a number of other teams and external bodies to improve the safety of all road users including our most vulnerable users

  • Can you work with limited supervision and prioritise your own workloads?
  • Have experience of dealing with customer enquiries and have a strong customer focus?
  • Can communicate and engage with a wide range of people?
  • Have you a wide range of experience in the use of computerised systems?
  • Are you willing to learn?
