We are keen to hear about your skills which should include ability to identify Safeguarding Concerns and analyse the level of associated risk, and how this is underpinned by the principle of ‘Making Safeguarding Personal’, excellent communication skills, excellent recording skills, defensible decision-making skills, and ability to provide timely response to address immediate safety issues.

Working in Social Care is a challenging and rewarding job and safeguarding the most vulnerable citizens of Kirklees is Core Business within Adult Social Care.

With your help we can support Adults at Risk to make informed choices, acknowledge their desired outcomes, remain independent for longer and stay safe. In Kirklees we aim to deliver high quality Adult Safeguarding Services.

We are looking for Social Workers to join the small but busy established team to fulfil this rewarding role in working with adults at risk to ensure safety and protection, preventing abuse and neglect through effective management of risk.

There will be a strong focus upon your own personal professional development to enhance your skills and practice. Our aim is to develop confident and competent practitioners who work to the Kirklees Behaviours, thereby supporting better outcomes for people we work with and equipping you with real and transferable skills for the future.

A full induction will be provided during which the successful candidates will receive support from a very committed, friendly, flexible, and welcoming team.

You must hold a Social Work England recognised professional Social Work Qualification and be registered with the SWE.
