Kirklees Council Legal Services is one of the largest legal practices in the area and is responsible for providing and commissioning the legal work required by Kirklees Council and partner organisations.

We are looking for a motivated lawyer to work on a range of procurements, contracts, and commercial matters.

You will draft reports, tender documentation, contracts (including ICT and construction contracts) and other commercial documents, and advise on commercial law and projects. Experience and knowledge of company law would be an advantage.

You must be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister holding a current practising certificate, or a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives or equivalent.

You could be newly qualified or more experienced.

You should be a confident, skilled and enthusiastic lawyer with a “can do” commercial approach.
