Are you a talented project officer looking for a unique opportunity to help improve the lives of local people in Huddersfield and its surrounding towns and villages? 

Huddersfield Town is already a successful future High Street Fund town, and Dewsbury has been selected for Town Fund Status. We have already launched  two major master plans for the two towns, the Huddersfield Blueprint which is a 10 year plan to regenerate Huddersfield Town Centre to allow businesses to thrive and enhance the public spaces, and Dewsbury Riverside Master Plan which is looking at develop the town centre and support the 4,000 new homes that we are promoting in the area. 

This role provides opportunities to work in high profile, part of the Council, projects and help us realise our ambition for revitalising our town centres. We are planning a hoist of high profile changes from new markets and music venues to a whole host of public realm improvements.  We want to build our success from last year and concentrate on delivering our vision. You will be joining us at an exciting time. 

As an Economic Resilience Project Officer (Town Centre Regeneration), your main duties will be to: 

  • Support and lead on Huddersfield Town Centre Regeneration Projects
  • Build good working relationships with stakeholders
  • Prepare reports that are built on relevant research 

We are looking for someone who has: 

  • Project management skills
  • A background in town centres or regeneration ideally
  • Work in a supportive manner with colleagues and partners
