Catering Manager - St Andrew’s CE (VA) Infant and Junior Schools

Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of St Andrew’s CE (VA) Infant and Junior Schools 

The Federated Governing Board of St Andrew’s CE (VA) Infant and Junior Schools is looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Catering Manager who can deliver a high-quality catering service for pupils, staff and visitors at our Infant School.

The role will include managing staff, planning menus, cooking, budgetary control, stock management and ensuring kitchen health and hygiene regulations are met. You will manage a team of two kitchen assistants to plan, prepare, cook and serve high quality meals that meet the School Food standards for approximately 180 children a day. You will also support the whole school in developing food and healthy eating awareness through the curriculum.

You will have:

• Previous experience within a similar catering environment.
• Supervisory/management skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• A relevant professional catering qualification.
• A good understanding of budgets.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• Good verbal and written skills.
• A collaborative and positive approach.
