The Young Person’s Activity Team is a short break respite service for disabled children and young people. The team work with over 130 service users and provides holiday schemes, weekend activities and a term time out of school club. The young people who access the service are aged 5 – 18 and have been assessed as requiring the service. 

As Assistant Manager you will be responsible for a team of officers and volunteers and you are responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of professional care and services are promoted, delivered and maintained. You must manage the team effectively and ensure all practices are in accordance with service policy and procedures. 

You will have proven experience of working with children with complex needs and disabilities and knowledge of Child Protection issues/procedures/ protocols. You will have knowledge of procedures on fire precautions, drills, Health & Safety and drug administration, and of budget management and monitoring. 

You will need to have the ability to work across 7 days on a rota basis.
