The Youth Engagement Service brings together the non-statutory elements of Children’s Social Care provision and Youth Justice Services into one overall management arrangement. 

The Youth Engagement Service and Youth Justice Services help support young people across the Authority who at risk of being involved in exploitation or anti-social behaviour or are involved in the criminal justice system.

The Business Support Team play a crucial role in ensuring multi-agency panels run effectively and that practitioners are supported with clerical and finance duties.

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and adaptable individual to help manage our Business Support Team within this ever-evolving service.

You must have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of supporting/working with Social Workers and Team Managers
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Skype and MS Teams.
  • Experience of managing/supervising a team
  • Ability to work on own initiative but also collaboratively with others.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
