Internally restricted job. This role is part of the HD-One Shared Service Centre. We provide support in payroll and personnel administration, business intelligence, organisation structure management, procurement, financial accounting, accounts payable and debt management.  With one team we can provide best practice processes and systems.  The HD-One Shared Service Centre is always looking for better and smarter ways to work to ensure that a wide range of services drive through transactional efficiencies and provide value for money in accordance with customer need, Council priorities and legislative requirements. 

You will be part of a team responsible for the provision and transmission of SAP output, compliance with Council, HMRC and Pension Schemes statutory responsibilities, statutory reporting and administration of employee-related schemes on behalf of the Authority, customers, suppliers and external clients in accordance with Government legislation.

You will be based in one location but you may be required to travel to attend meetings and provide support across Financial Management, Risk, IT and Performance.

 

Main Duties:

  • Timely completion and submission of BACS requests – Creditors cheque and payment runs, same day payments, Direct Debits, production of payroll
  • Production of monthly payroll reconciliation and identifying anomalies
  • Production of P45 leaver notifications
  • Production of payslips
  • Timely submission of: Real Time Information and Employee Payment Submissions to HMRC; Employee Pension details to Teachers Pensions, West Yorkshire Pension Fund and associated schemes
  • Posting to the General Ledger
  • Year-end reporting – P60s, P11Ds
  • Administration of Childcare Voucher Schemes
  • Provide support, guidance, development work
  • SAP User acceptance testing when required
  • Customer contact through a range of methods
