This is an exciting opportunity for new and aspiring Deputy Children's Home Managers who are passionate about making a difference to children and young people’s lives.

We currently have three vacancies in our children’s homes across Kirklees. Two of the home accommodate up to four children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, one of the homes is a Short Breaks home supporting up to eight children and young people with learning and physical disabilities.

The successful candidates will be motivated and innovative individuals who are passionate about ensuring that each young person in their care is happy, safe and thriving in their education, hobbies and relationships.  You will have an opportunities to make a real difference to children, young people and their families.

As a Deputy Manager you must have experience of working in a residential setting, and hold a level 3 Diploma in Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent.

As Deputy Manager you will be responsible for the effective co-ordination and management of the home working closely with the Registered Manager.

You will be responsible for ensuring that high standards of professional personalised, care are promoted and maintained and that the staff team are working in accordance with the Children’s Home Regulations 2015, Quality Standards and all legislative frameworks.  

You will develop positive working relationships with partner agencies and other services to provide the best possible outcomes for young people in our care.

You will promote and support young people in influencing the decisions that affect them and the care and support they receive. You will promote a nurturing environment that can support young people in aspiring to, and reaching their full potential.

It is expected that a Deputy Manager must be available to work over weekends, evenings and Public Holidays as necessary to support the service.
