The Terrier Team sits within the Asset Data & Compliance service area, which forms a part of the Corporate Landlord and Capital Service. It is broadly responsible for asset ownership information and the Councils Terrier information management system, covering all the Council’s Corporate Estate (including some Schools, and commercial properties).
The objectives of the team are to ensure that the Geographic Information System (GIS) is complete and up to date, that digital plans are created to support our very successful and busy disposals process and Right to Buy system and that queries from both the public and internal clients are replied to in a timely manner.
We are now seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Information Officer to join our team and support both our internal and external customers.
The Assistant Asset Information Officer role provides technical support with maintenance of the Councils land and property ownership records; storage and administration of the Councils title deeds; preparation of plans required for property management and associated corporate projects; liaison with internal Council Services, external organisations/agencies and members of the public in relation to council land ownership
Duties may include:
Maintaining the Councils Geographic System (GIS) and Terrier database
Maintaining the Councils Deeds room
Producing, reviewing, and amending detailed digital red line boundary plans
Assisting the Councils right to buy team with property disposal information
Investigate and advise internal and external clients regarding ownership & disposal records.
Working with colleagues across the multiple services to ensure tight deadlines & KPI’s are met for the above work areas.
Investigating and resolving queries which appear in the Land Ownership Inbox.
Provide support and advice to colleagues in different teams.
It is essential that you have a flexible and ‘can do’ attitude, possess excellent customer care skills, have experience in working with Geospatial information, and you are familiar with a variety of computer packages in particular Microsoft Office, and ideally MapInfo Pro, AutoCAD, and Kompass.
