You will be entitled to a retention payment of £1500 per year which will be spilt into two payments, in December and June. You become eligible for the payment after 6 months employment and successful completion of your probationary period.

This job is based at the Hospital Team, Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, Acre Street, Lindley, Huddersfield, HD3 3EA  but you may be required to work at other locations as and when required.

You must have completed ASYE as appointment will be made as a Level 2 or Level 3 Social Worker at Grade 9 or 10: £28,226 - £34,373

You will be part of a busy team which works closely with the multi-disciplinary team to facilitate timely and safe discharges from hospital.

The work is varied and challenging, but the role is key to ensure people achieve their outcomes.

You will be working with adults and carers to deliver Self-Directed support and Self-Assessment as well as safeguarding, adopting a positive approach to risk.

Do you hold a Social Work England recognised professional social work qualification and registered with SWE?

Travel is an essential part of this job and therefore it would be extremely difficult for you to do your job effectively if you did not use a car for all or most of the time.  It is essential that you hold a full and valid driving licence and it is expected that you will either use a council vehicle or your own car.
