We are looking for the right person to join our highly skilled, enthusiastic and committed team.

  • Year group/phase of school (EYFS/KS1/KS2) to be determined by the strengths of the candidate.
  • Applications from experienced teachers and early career teachers are welcomed.

Do you:

  • Wish to teach in a school where leaders are committed to ‘growing a loving, happy and flourishing community’ with a focus on the development of the whole child?
  • Wish to develop your career within a supportive, highly skilled and dedicated teaching team?

If so, this is the role for you!

Headlands CE (C) JIN School is a successful primary school with high expectations of attainment and achievement for all pupils, judged by Ofsted as ‘good’ in all areas. As an attachment and trauma informed school, we recognise that a pupil's happiness and well-being are the foundation for their success and is essential to nurture, educate and care for the 'whole person'.

The staff at Headlands School are committed to ensuring that all of our pupils acquire and develop the skills, knowledge and understanding that will allow them to thrive and ‘live life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10).  We know that we have a duty to equip our children with the communication and social skills that will support them to build positive relationships and flourish within our local and global community.  It is also fundamental that everyone has a right to be safe, healthy and feel a sense of positive wellbeing. We are incredibly proud that during our recent SIAMS inspection (February 2023) it was noted that ‘Pupils are confident that the school enables them to be their very best selves. Kind, unwavering love and support, created by the strong family community, makes pupils and staff feel valued and able to flourish.’

Take up the challenge of being a teacher at Headlands C of E (C) J, I and N School.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A passion, drive and determination to support ALL children to flourish
  • A strong commitment to achieving success through partnership and teamwork
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Drive, ambition and high expectations
  • Flexibility, resilience and commitment to the children at Headlands C of E (C) JIN School
  • A track record of outstanding teaching
  • A well-developed understanding of teaching pedagogy and practice

If you can offer the above then come and join our team.

In return we will offer:

  • A welcoming and friendly school
  • The opportunity to work within a school judged as ‘good’ by Ofsted and SIAMS
  • A highly professional, dedicated, enthusiastic, supportive and hard-working team
  • A strong track record in supporting professional development
  • Strong partnerships with other schools through our active involvement in the Spenborough Co-operative Trust
