Rough Sleepers Initiative. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Kirklees Housing Solutions. 

The position will be for 12 months working within the Rough Sleeping Initiative team, helping those that are currently or have been rough sleeping to access, sustain and maintain effective long term accommodation and support.   

The team provides one to one intensive support and assistance to clients with complex support needs and chaotic lifestyles. These frequently arise as a result of mental health issues, drug and alcohol misuse and ongoing safeguarding issues. 

The nature of this work is challenging and the expectation is that the successful candidate will be prepared to take an assertive approach to ensure that support plans are completed 

You will also be expected to make links with partner organisations involved in rough sleeping work or who have contact with rough sleepers, including the police, Primary Care Networks, voluntary sector providers and so forth. 

The team are based at Civic 3 in Huddersfield, but the role will involve significant travel throughout Kirklees.
