One Adoption West Yorkshire is a shared regional adoption service across the 5 West Yorkshire Local Authorities. It is hosted by Leeds City Council with office bases across West Yorkshire and is responsible for the recruitment and assessment of adopters, family finding for children and adoption support.

We are seeking to recruit two Adoption Advisors to provide a timely, positive and professional response to initial enquiries received from prospective adopters; taking initial information, booking home visits and updating systems and databases. Adoption Advisors also have a role supporting the family finding of children and the provision of adoption support. There will be a need to write reports, maintain and update systems, records and databases and deliver excellent customer service at all times.

The work involves issues of a sensitive and confidential nature and applicants will need to display a clear understanding of the need for complete confidentiality at both application and interview stage. Applicants with a personal experience of adoption would be welcome to apply.

You must be able to work as part of a team, be flexible with energy and commitment and be available to travel across West Yorkshire. Our main office bases are Bradford (Margaret McMillan Towers), Huddersfield (Civic Centre One) and Leeds (Kernel House).
