The West Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to appoint to a Procurement and Contracts Officer role.  Reporting to a Procurement Manager, this key role will have the opportunity to work within a new procurement team, delivering professional and complaint end to end procurement services to the Combined Authority.

The Role

The Procurement and Contracts Officers key responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver a professional, best practice and compliant end to end procurement service for medium sized procurements as allocated by a Procurement Manager and delegating for Procurement Managers where appropriate.
  • Responsibility for the management, integration and maintenance of E-tendering systems.
  • Ensure compliance with contract standing orders, publication scheme and transparency obligations.

The Person

The Authority is seeking an individual with experience of working in a procurement function procuring a wide range of products, works and services.  You must be a qualified Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply or be working towards full membership.

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s procurement team is embarking upon an exciting programme of activity; the result of which will be a best in class procurement function.  This role will play an important part in that development programme.
