The Team

The Bereavement Service Team are a small team, that work flexibly across three sites, two in Huddersfield and one in Dewsbury. The work is varied, but our main aim is to produce events that celebrate the lives of families’ loved ones.

We are dedicated to making sure that our services are of the highest standard and we are looking for an empathetic Business Support Officer to join us in this challenging, but extremely rewarding work.

The Role

You will be based within the cemeteries and crematoria admin team at Huddersfield Crematorium or Dewsbury Moor Crematorium. A willingness to travel between the sites, either by car or public transport, is needed as you may be asked to support colleagues in one of the Huddersfield sites or at the Dewsbury site.

Having an empathetic and compassionate nature you will be required to work front line with customers who are ordering memorials or organising funerals and cremations.

Our customers may be recently bereaved and you will therefore need excellent communications skills, patience and understanding.

As you will be managing events of great significance to our customers you will need attention to detail and organisation skills.
