To apply for this job you must be an employee of the Council for the duration of the recruitment process – up to and including the start date. In Kirklees we are focused on outcomes more than process and believe that to achieve the best outcomes for local citizens we need to be thinking “People, Place, Partners” and “working with rather than doing to.” We have a significant programme of investment in the physical infrastructure of our towns and villages that builds on our rich history. We are committed to an inclusive Kirklees and to ensuring that everyone benefits from improved outcomes.
We are looking for an innovative and knowledgeable senior professional to join our leadership team with strong experience of working in the education community and with a proven track record in school place planning and delivering the associated statutory responsibilities. A passion for improving outcomes for children and young people in Kirklees is also crucial.
As the new Head of Education Access and Places, you will have strategic responsibility for school place planning, admissions and childcare sufficiency in Kirklees.
Your experience will need to demonstrate your ability to build relationships and influence with credibility at all levels in the education sector and beyond underpinned by a depth of knowledge of local authority statutory responsibilities and strategic governance arrangements.
