About You

Do you love handling large datasets, and applying your knowledge of statistics and analytics to interrogate and interpret data to gain insights? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a willingness to learn and develop their intelligence-based knowledge and skills around health and care, and complete a Level 7 apprenticeship. This role is an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in using health and care data to support service design and delivery, to improve the lives of local residents, and help to reduce inequalities.

About the Role 

You will be supported by the Data and Insight Enablement Lead for Public Health to:

•    Work with existing health and social care data, and/or design/implement bespoke data collections.
•    Produce, develop and promote a range of statistical analysis.
•    Advise and provide evidence on the effectiveness of health and care initiatives, to meet the needs of local populations and reduce health inequalities. 

You will also be given protected time to complete a Level 7 Health and Care Intelligence Specialist Apprentice qualification. The formal learning pathway will elevate your skills from data analyst through to senior analyst or intelligence manager level, going beyond analysing data to learning how to influence strategy and inform policy.

You will also broaden your experience of the health and care system through temporary work placements at partner organisations within West Yorkshire (please note, some in-person working may be required).

This role builds on the skills and requirements of the Data & Insight Officer within the Data & Insight Service, to develop and apply specialist knowledge of Health and Care Intelligence. Application of this knowledge will support colleagues across Public Health, Adults and Children’s Social Care within Kirklees Council, and health and care colleagues within the NHS and other partner organisations.
